Now faith is the assurance the confirmation, the title deed of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
YOUR MEASURE OF FAITH CAN BE INCREASED BY DOING TWO THINGS.
1. NEED TO FEED OUR FAITH
But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ ”
What bread or food is to the body so is the word of God to the heart
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other
When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! You measure of faith can be increased by feeding it on the word of God and exercising putting it into practice.
