Prayer is the central spiritual discipline in the Christian life. Without it, we don't have any authentic relationship with God. However, prayer is also the key to deepening that relationship. We just don't pray. We learn how to pray in ever-deepening intimacy with God. In other words, we need to grow in our prayer lives as the fruit of our growing relationship with God.
