There are now less than 6% of churches in America that are growing. People have become stagnant and disengaged in the church. At this church, we are going to fight for the Church. In looking at the parable of the lost sheep that Jesus told, we see the parallel between sheep and us. There’s a reason a sheep ends up leaving a flock and a lot of times it is because they are internally sick. The church is the gathering of people. If God’s desire is for the church to be together, then the enemy’s desire for the church to be separated. There is power in togetherness. When is the last time we have invited someone to church? How many people are simply waiting on an invitation? Be willing to step outside of the comfort of the 99 to go after the ones who have gone astray. Listen to this sermon about the power of inviting someone to church in the first part of our Growing Smaller series.
