His experiences as a counselor, coach, teacher, and principal led him to develop Trust-Based Observations, a model of observation and evaluation focused on building differentiated trusting relationships between principal and teacher that sparks risk-taking and innovation in practice, which leads to teaching and learning growth. Currently, Craig consults and trains schools on Trust-Based Observations.
