The Bible tells us that Mary's soul was pierced. Why? Because she watched people reject her son, and that's a recipe for bitterness and grudges. It cost Mary something to offer Jesus to the world, and it will cost us something, too. If we're truly going to carry the fire and power of God, we must choose to give grace instead of holding grudges.
