On All Saints’ Day, we remember our loved ones who have departed this earthly life and now rest in heavenly joy and peace. Our remembrance is not limited to this one Sunday, of course. Each time we gather for Holy Communion we join with “all the company of heaven” to praise and glorify our risen Lord and commune with Him—and with them. The saints above worship the risen Christ face-to-face; we worship the same risen Christ under the veil of the bread and wine at the altar.
