Grand Theft Auto 5 - The Cayo Perico Heist

First teased in July as "a new take on heists in an entirely new location",[ The Cayo Perico Heist was announced in November as the biggest Grand Theft Auto Online content update to date, adding a new tropical island to the game, where players may freely party alongside other guests, or plan a robbery of the drug cartel that controls the island. Described as the "next evolution in Heists gameplay", the Cayo Perico Heist features the most approaches out of any heist in the game, including the possibility of being completed solo from start to finish, and can play out in various ways depending on player actions. The update also added several new vehicles, including a heavily armed submarine, which is required for the heist, as well as weapons and in-game radio stations. In December, it was revealed that The Cayo Perico Heist will be the most music-focused update in the game, adding a new nightclub called the Music Locker, located underneath the Diamond Casino & Resort, with real-life musicians Moodymann, Keinemusik, and Palms Trax serving as its resident DJs, as well as three radio stations (two of which are hosted by English DJ Joy Orbison and American musician Julian Casablancas) and an update to some of the already existing stations, totalling over 250 new songs. The update was released on 15 December, and received largely positive feedback, though there was some criticism aimed at its handling of the new island, which is not explorable in freemode as most players had hoped.

Cyberpunk 2077 PS4, PC, Playstation

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. The story takes place in Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customisable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery with options for melee and ranged combat.

The game was developed using the REDengine 4 by a team of around 500 people, exceeding the number that worked on the studio's previous game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). CD Projekt launched a new division in Wrocław, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, QLOC, and Jali Research to aid the production. Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith was a consultant, and actor Keanu Reeves has a starring role. The original score was led by Marcin Przybyłowicz, featuring the contributions of several licensed artists.

CD Projekt released Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 4, Stadia, Windows, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions planned to follow in 2021. It received praise for its narrative, setting, and graphics, although some of its gameplay elements, development and innovations received mixed responses. In contrast, it was widely criticized for bugs, particularly in the console versions which were also criticized for performance issues. Sony removed it from the PlayStation Store on 17 December 2020 until "further notice".

Monster Hunter - Chinese controversy

Just after the Chinese release on December 4, 2020, the film caused an uproar on Chinese social media because of a scene in which Jin's character jokingly asks: "Look at my knees!", and to the question "What kind of knees are these?", he replies: "Chi-knees!". Through the language made by the film's subtitles, Chinese viewers interpreted this as a reference to the racist playground chant "Chinese, Japanese, dirty knees", and therefore as an insult to Chinese people. The film was removed from circulation, and Chinese authorities censored references to it online. Tencent had reportedly prepared modified versions of the films omitting the line but even these showings were pulled. The reaction to the film also caused Chinese users to review bomb Monster Hunter: World in reference to the insulting lines.

Constantin Film apologized for the dialog and stated they will remove the racially-insensitive dialog from the film before it is rereleased. Jin said that for his character, the line was "to proudly proclaim he is a Chinese soldier, not just his knees, but his arms, his head, his heart".[41] Anderson stated that "It was never our intention to send a message of discrimination or disrespect to anyone. To the contrary - at its heart our movie is about unity," and that the line had been removed from all international versions of the film prior to their releases.
