The word Guantanamo has become kind of the American version of Gulag, referring to the U.S. military-run prison in Cuba where the United States has held prisoners since shortly after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.  About 780 men have been held there at one time but now only 15 remain. Who are they? Why are they there? What’s the controversy?
