I'd love to hear from you, text me your thoughts!
Solomon develops a case for a deeper examination of wisdom and understanding in Proverbs. His contention is that our wisdom must be rooted in knowledge that begins in a fear of our God. Unpacking what that means, he speaks as to his son and here in this passage brings up the possibility of being tempted to stray from his marriage. Wisdom that is rooted in understanding God's commandments, keeping our word and following His direction rather than being guided by the wisdom that arises from within ourselves keeps us focused on our marriage vows- and that leads to health, and life abundant.
