Gucci Mane grew up in Bessemer, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. He was raised by a single mother, and took to poetry extremely early. He also took to legal troubles early, beginning with a c0caine charge when he was only 21 years old and would be on caught on the wrong side of the law, a situation he would find himself in again and again and again.
