This week we have the pleasure of introducing our very first guest, Amy Erickson. Amy placed a daughter into a closed adoption at the age of 17 and was reunited after 18 years. She has since managed to secure her seat on the rollercoaster of adoption reunion, learning to navigate this often complicated relationship. The last 7 years for her have been full of self-discovery and the realization that adoption affected her in more ways than she ever knew, even after being told that she could move on as if it never happened. She has built a community around her of other birth mothers that have been instrumental in her healing journey.
