Slater has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Auburn University. He is a member of both the AICPA and the NCACPA. Slater also co-teaches a course each year through the Western North Carolina Nonprofit Pathways program, which provides resources to area nonprofit organizations. When he’s not working, Slater spends time with his family and they stay active exploring the creeks and trails of Western North Carolina.
