Trip Elix is an award- winning author and public speaker.
He was born and raised in the divide of social, economic classes in the Midwest, just outside of Cincinnati. In the shadow of economic progress where the poor and challenged are constantly reminded that the efforts will never allow them to succeed. Alternatively, midclass values were instilled to foster the only avenue of success was to be educated. Trip never subscribed to the cookie cutter mentality.
His interest in computer and technology began at a young age. By the 10th grade, he had co-authored, a computer textbook used in his school district. In an outside of school organization, he won a leadership award from Dale Carnegie, for a business group activity that generated and returned 150% ROI all the while, still not being old enough to drive.
In the years since then, Trip has worked as an investigator and associated with business leaders along with the computer underground. He has been a computer forensic technician; security consultant, administrator, programmer, and hacker, who has used or owned almost every version of every operating system used since the 1980’s. He currently attends security conferences held by the computer underground including Defcon, Hope, and Bsides.
