Live Interview with Kalyan Gautam (Radio Host)

Kalyan Gautam is undoubtedly one of the finest and the most educated storytellers whose research and talent make his stories exciting, believable, and fascinating to listeners. The kind of story he chooses will draw your attention right from the start. He mostly writes it as a monologue. His strength in storytelling is weaving it so beautifully that it seems to you a truth. During the story he often goes back and forth, connecting the dots so that we can understand it in a better way while making sure that no critical information has been missed.

The program was based on true events where listeners started sending their sad stories to Dear Kalyan to have their feelings aired to thousands of unknown listeners across the nation with anonymity. The program surprisingly became a Counselling program for the youngsters and immediately became the most sought program in Nepal. Stories of failed marriages, racial discrimination, HIV affected discrimination and even the stories of then Maoist guerrillas flooded the program with people’s pain. Each episode aired the true stories in Dear Kalyan’s voice and heart touching songs. Now these episodes and many new ones are compiled in Dear Kalyan’s books Mero Katha Part 1, 2 and 3, and DVDs Part 1 thru 10.

Mr. Gautam has also published 7 books, his novel 'Radio Chhaap Salai' was a best seller in the year 2012.
