Raj Bhai Suwal is unequivocally considered as one of the finest Nepalese commercial portrait photographers. And while he has a diverse body of work, he’s known for his experimental approach in photography, tight, intense headshots and one can see his work everywhere; in magazines, TV, and on billboards across Nepal. Most of his photographs are governed by a sense of nostalgia. He took to still photography in 1980 and was a photojournalist for Nepal Samacharpatra at the time of its inception. He is also the official photographer of the Miss Nepal pageant. Raj Bhai, has been an inspiration for young, aspiring professionals in the field. He also teaches photography at the WLC College, the Namuna College of Fashion Technology and the Oscar International College for his experimental approach.
