KEYS TO KNOWING GOD’S WILL

1: Have I Surrendered my will to God’s

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

Romans 12:1

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2

2: Am I allowing God to change my mind

“Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2b

How is my mind transformed?

First: I am transformed by God’s Spirit

“…who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 1Corinthians 2:11-12

“But we have the mind of Christ.” 1Corinthians 2:16b

Second: I’m transformed by His Word

“They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify

them by the Truth; your Word is Truth.” John 17:16b

Third: I’m transformed by fellowship

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Proverbs 27:17 NLT

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24

Fourth: I’m transformed through circumstances

Where I end up in life is not nearly as important as how I got there
