Today's’ Show—Guidance from God.

     The Oxford Group was a world-wide movement that had no designated central leadership. It relied upon guidance from God.

   From the book Absolutely Sober we glean these important Instructions about guidance:

· Is there a willingness to obey without self-interested editing of the instructions? · Wait to see if circumstances intervene. For example: a person mentioned in guidance who is away — suddenly returns. · Compare the thought to the standards of the absolutes — honesty, purity, unselfishness and love. · Does the thought tally with the teaching of scripture? · Does the thought agree with the counsel of friends who are also practicing the principles? · How does the guidance received comport with the experience and teaching of the Christian Church
