Guild President Lara Kisielewska chats with Guild Member Sue Jenkins on the experience of running a long-term creative business.

Lara founded Optimum Design & Consulting in 1992 and has been a volunteer with the Guild almost as long. Sue Jenkins is a multi-talented visual artist, course instructor, and owner of Luckychair, started in 1997. These two leaders compare their similar experiences through the years as they connect as both graphic artists and business owners. They discuss getting their first client and firing their first client, as well as getting their names out in the world before social media. Rounding out the conversation are the challenges they faced pricing their work and the most significant lessons they learned along the way.
