Growing up fatherless and navigating life with ADHD and bipolar disorder, Guillermo was on a path the system had already predicted — but he refused to accept it. After overcoming incarceration, he turned every struggle into purpose and dedicated his life to building opportunities for students just like him.

Today he is the creator of The Redemption Effect and a driving force behind MLMPIPA, a Miami-based accredited private school giving a second chance to students who have been expelled, suspended, or turned away by the traditional school system. The school partners with the Department of Juvenile Justice, foster care systems, and Boys & Girls Clubs to reach the kids who need it most.
