The #BHM series convenes with coverage on what we can do as a people to continue striving for a unified blackness globally. It may not be palatable for some due to it's origin,

but the purpose is clear and pure. Seven Principles stand at the heart of the origin and meaning of Kwanzaa, for it is these values which are not only the building blocks for community, but also serve to reinforce and enhance them: Umoja (unity), Kujichagulia (self-determination), Ujima (collective work and responsibility), Ujamaa (cooperative economics), Nia (purpose), Kuumba (creativity) and Imani (faith).
