The creator/illustrator Lamar Mathurin joins Nerd Escape to discuss his indy comic book titled GUMBO, and to NERD-OUT on nostalgic 90s pop and comic book culture. Lamar shares his passion for art and comics, his inspirations, and the creative details on the process of creating GUMBO. GUMBO is a sci-fi story that takes place in a dream like or purgatory world setting called Gumbo. Characters from different worlds and timeframes are trapped in this strange world, and they must play along with the Architect's game in order to have a chance to escape and go home.
