Last year there were 43 551 deaths as a result of gun violence in America. There were 610 mass shootings, nearly 2 per day and 513 deaths as a result of them. Guns are involved in 75 percent of all murders and 51 percent of suicides.  According to the second amendment every American has the right to keep and bear arms. Everyone has the right to protect themselves, their families, and loved ones. However, the question we pose today is, “Is gun violence in America out of control?”
