Expanding the prior discussion of the right to bear arms protected by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, this episode explores the pattern of demanding restrictions on gun rights whenever a mass shooting stokes fear in the population.  The proposed gun restrictions never attempt to address the actual root causes of gun violence or to recognize that, though mass shootings (however that phrase is defined) are horrific events, the gun violence that plagues a small percentage of communities across the country is caused by a number of liberal policies that have proven to harm, rather than to help these neighborhoods.  And, though public discussion now includes reference to mental health as an issue in gun violence, no real solutions are offered to address those in our population who suffer from uncontrolled or uncontrollable mental illnesses that threaten the safety of those suffering from these ailments and those around them.
