There are some scriptures that have a story and in that story sometimes there are stutis or there are talks about devotion and knowledge. Then, there are some scriptures that only have a story, like most of the Puranas only have a story and along with that story, you sometimes hear things that may be timeless or not. In today’s age, those things might be effective or may not be effective or applicable.

But, there is one scripture that is full of devotion, sentiments, and wisdom. There is no story in it. Instead of a story, it has a speech. It is a composition of the speech of many sages, siddhaas, and supreme devotees. The wisdom coming out of the speech of the learned was all compiled at one place. This process took hundreds of years and it was named “Sri Guru Granth Sahib”. It was said that if you are a true disciple of a guru, then you must accept the granth as your guru. Everything that you need to know is written in this “baani”. After this, you don’t need to look for any guru.
