Guru - Sadguru - Govind

‘Guru- tatv’ is a angelic personality, not just a person, who enables us to meet our source. Also, there is a subtle difference between the words 'Guru' and 'Sadguru'. We usually look out for a Guru but the mercy of our Deity makes us naturally meet our 'Sadguru'. Guru gives a seed in the form of mantra and teaches us the way to nurture it into a fruit bearing tree. However the mantra given by Sadguru is like a fully blossomed plant which saves us from much of the initial labour. Guru is an 'Elixir' -  whoever comes in contact, becomes gold while a capable Sadguru not only transmutes his eligible disciples but also grants them the power of alchemy - ‘gurutv’ itself.  

Moreover, Guru is considered venerable equivalent to God (Govind). However, this sacred ideology is not meant to be misapplied for any ulterior motive. If the devotee is fully dedicated to his Guru then Guru only becomes Govind for him because he is able to see all the attributes of God within his Guru. However if the devotee takes both as separate entities then his Guru appropriately guides him to reach Govind.
