H. Alexander Duncan is a lifelong public servant, community advocate, and Seminole County native dedicated to protecting constitutional rights, strengthening local communities, and ensuring government works for the people—not special interests.
His commitment to public service began long before he entered politics. Alexander comes from a family deeply rooted in Central Florida history. His great-grandfather, Joseph King, was a pioneering Civil Rights leader whose advocacy nearly cost him his life when he survived an attempted lynching in 1936. Although years of violence and intimidation forced much of the family to leave Central Florida, the King family never abandoned its commitment to serving the community. That legacy of courage, perseverance, and public service continues to shape Alexander’s life and leadership today.
That same spirit of resilience became deeply personal during high school when a devastating football injury left Alexander temporarily paralyzed. Forced to relearn how to walk, write, and use his right arm, he refused to let tragedy define his future. The experience strengthened his faith, forged an unwavering determination, and gave him a lasting appreciation for the challenges faced by individuals living with disabilities.
Those experiences naturally led Alexander into a career centered on stewardship and service. Since 2019, he has served as Property Estate Manager for the King Estate, overseeing a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties across Seminole and Orange Counties. In that role, he manages daily operations, budgeting, capital improvements, contractor and vendor relationships, regulatory compliance, and long-term planning—ensuring responsible management of investments that directly impact the surrounding communities.
Today, Alexander is bringing that same commitment to public service to the Florida Senate. He believes government should protect constitutional liberties, promote responsible growth, create economic opportunity, and remain accountable to the people it serves. Guided by the values passed down through generations of his family—service, integrity, courage, and faith—he is running to ensure Florida’s future is built on opportunity, transparency, and leadership that puts people first.
