Many people in the American church believe they can come to the Lord, receive His love, His goodness, His Salvation and then continue to live as they want. When difficult times arrive, hopefully we won't question the goodness of God, instead we will have a tendency to question our understanding of the situation, because that is much more subject to question than the goodness of God. the writer of Habakkuk came to understand at the end of his short book, he was able to rest in the goodness of God, no longer questioning God, but just saying "Ok God. Now you've got me to the point that no matter what things look like, I can praise you".
