My HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) didn't have a way to be controlled over the internet or from a smartphone, so I decided to do a person-in-the-middle attack, decode the communications of the remote and the main unit, and inject my own packets to be able to connect it to my smart home.
