Shadows. Horn. Blood. Fire. Albrun.

In the 15th century in the desolate Alps mountains lives a woman deemed a witch by the local townsfolk. Bound to a life not chosen, she births a daughter, Albrun, who grows up with the confusing accusations and religious persecutions of the era. With little understanding to the underlying illness her mother's body is ridden with, Albrun is soon left to rely on the mountainside as her mother did before her, facing similar obstacles when many years later, she conceives a daughter of her own.
