"Haggai may be only 2 chapters-
but man it packs a wallop"
We learned this week just how easy it is to allow ourselves to be derailed from the task at hand. We got to witness the Israelites come home with a purpose, start that important work for YHWH, then fall to their own fleshly desires. We can't look too harshly at them though, can we? Aren't we all doing the exact same thing daily/weekly/monthly? I know I am.
Lets remember our key takeaways this week- and work to apply these to our daily life:
1.) YHWH is looking for partners. He wants to change this world through us. He is not seeking 1/2 hearted lip service.
2.)His real work through us can begin ONLY after the Spirit has transformed our heart.
3.)Holiness cannot be passed onto something that is defiled, but the defiled can absolutely be passed on to Holiness. Guard your heart, mind, home, children, marriage, etc. Stay in prayer. Stay in His word. Stay focused, friend.
