Hala and the Blue Pill Murder
A murder case initially mistaken for a natural death, involving Hala and her husband Mohamed, who worked abroad and saved to build a life in Egypt. After discovering Hala’s affair, Mohamed decided to return to Egypt permanently, prompting Hala and her lover to plot his murder. They spread a rumor that Mohamed’s death was due to sexual stimulants and later poisoned him with twelve crushed Viagra pills in his food and drink. The truth emerged three years later when Mohamed’s brother, Ahmed, found a video on Hala’s phone showing Mohamed dying while Hala verbally admitted to the affair and her unhappiness. Following Ahmed’s report and Hala’s confession, she and her lover (later her second husband) were arrested and sentenced to death.
