The Bookkeeper Basecamp Podcast

Half Year In - Lessons Learned

Listen Later

Today on the podcast I get to share some of the things I have been thinking about for a while now. I'd like you to learn from my experiences producing this podcast – the good, the bad, and the ugly.

In case you're expecting to use a podcast to create long-form content for your business, I want you to know what you're getting yourself into.

We're just about past the half-year mark on this podcast.

Initially, the idea was to have it be a series of series, and I'm changing the format slightly.

Tune in to hear what has been my lessons learned from this journey, as well as what this podcast is going to look like in the coming months.

I'd love to hear from you on what you think about the upcoming changes – DM me on Instagram (@sparkhustleflow) or email me at [email protected]

Here's a quick summary of what I talk about on this episode:

  • the importance of having a strategy BEFORE you start a podcast,
  • just how much patience and consistency a podcast takes,
  • some lessons about having guests on your podcast (including how to go about those "big names"),
  • coordination and organization, especially if outsourcing,
  • what it costs financially to produce a podcast,
  • why you should be taking good care of your health, and
  • all about promotion and how to do it right.
