2023 VSHF inductee, Sheila Trice-Myers, has a resume that is unmatched in NCAA Division-III history. The Louisa County native and Christopher Newport University alumnus earned 30 All-American honors, won 23 conference championships, and 15 national championships during her time with the Captains Track & Field program. Among her accolades she is one of only two competitors, Jesse Owens being the other, to win 4 national championships in different events at a single NCAA championship. Her 55-meter dash record, set in 1989, still stands to this day.
