Despite losing Jeremy Cameron to an accidental collision in the first quarter, the Cats managed a fast finish to secure an 11.12 (78) to 8.15 (63) win. Gary Rohan led the charge with three goals, while defender Zach Guthrie's goal early in the last quarter helped the Cats surge to the lead. Despite the Dees adapting more quickly to the wet conditions and putting pressure on the Cats in the first half, Geelong turned the tables in the last quarter to seal the victory.
The Brisbane Lions have solidified their position in the top four of the AFL ladder after defeating St Kilda by 28 points at Marvel Stadium. Eric Hipwood's four goals and Harris Andrew's interception skills led Brisbane to a 12.12 (84) to 8.8 (56) victory. Despite St Kilda's efforts to remain competitive, following coach Ross Lyon's half-time adjustments, Brisbane managed to maintain their lead. This win moves Brisbane to third in the rankings with a 10-4 record, while St Kilda slips to sixth with an 8-6 record.
Sydney Swans has made AFL history by becoming the first team to score over 200 points since 2011, delivering West Coast Eagles their biggest loss ever, with a 171 point margin. The Swans dominated the match, finishing with a score of 31.19 (205) to the Eagles' 5.4 (34). Isaac Heeney was the star of the show, scoring five goals from 22 disposals, while Errol Gulden contributed significantly with three goals and 32 disposals. The win has provided the Swans with a significant boost towards the finals.
Fremantle Dockers have managed an impressive 32-point win over Essendon Bombers, thereby keeping their chances for the finals alive. Despite a valiant effort from the Crows, the Magpies managed to hold on for their 12th win of the season.
