The script for this RAIN Hamcast Podcast was read for the 05-18-12 RAIN Report by former RAIN reader Larry Miglore/KB9DIP. It read as follows:

"From the darkened studios of the Radio Amateur Information Network I'm Larry Miglore/KB9DIP. The lights are off as we go to press; the volunteers staff and RAIN's Founder & Producer, Hap Holly/KC9RP flew the coop to wander the miles of aisles in the Hara Arena in Trotwood, Ohio, looking for what's hot...and not at the 2012 Dayton Hamvention.  If you happen to hear this before the Hamvention is over, you'll find the RAIN booth #329 alive with folks recording their stories  as to how they got into ham radio...and why. Being the party pooper that I am (reference to Larry Miglore) I didn't go this year. However in honor of the "show of shows", I'm am able to present the most entertaining and pithy commentary ever written and read for the RAIN Report by Oren Brand/K9KEJ back in 1993. This flamboyant and Gene Sheperd-esk character is better known to outdoor officionados for his weekly Mike Jackson Outdoor show. If you've gone to local hamfests in the past few years, you'll find his observations are still right on the mark all these years later."

RAIN Founder Hap Holly/KC9RP edits and produces this biweekly ham radio hamcast without monetization. Your support and feedback are welcome on therainreport.com.
