This coming Sunday is “Pentecost Sunday” on the Christian calendar. It is also

“Memorial Day” weekend. We will remember our military and give thanks for those who

serve and have served our country. We will also remember a day in history with the

Living God reminded the “The Church” how powerful the Holy Spirit is.

These Passages above remind us of the authority of the prophetic Word of God.

What God has spoken will be fulfilled. The ministry and work of the Spirit of God within

the human heart is neither hindered nor controlled by human might nor power (or hand

grenades). The power of God’s Spirit is beyond human understanding.

This Sunday we will remind ourselves that the Holy Spirit desires us to surrender

to His Lordship. We will remind ourselves that Jesus Christ is coming back and we need

to be ready for HIS return. We will also be reminded of the incredible power of HIS

grace that can save, “whoever calls on the name of the LORD.”

Prayer – Living God, thank you for the powerful grace that has saved me. Help me Lord

to daily surrender my life to the love and ministry of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
