Adele and Tom have two guests that helps bring Theology of the body to Life in a way no text book can. Our team is joined by a couple that first walked through the doors of the DesOrmeaux Foundation's Women's Center of Lafayette during one of the most uncertain times in their young lives. They came seeking support and something beautiful happened to them. So get comfortable and listen in to hear how their journey didn't just lead to healing and hope, it led to the altar.

In this 3rd installment of the series we take another step forward in St. John Paul II's discussion on the subject of love by focusing on his work in 2 areas. 1st in his book, "Love & Responsibility" JP II brings our the importance of loving well. Next our team will unpack the great pope saint's thoughts on Love & Freedom. In this 1st half of the show Adele, Becki and content partner Colby Allen will break down what is love and how do we learn to recognize the whole person in love. In the second half of the show we shift gears into St. John Paul's key points on how freedom affects love. Our team will look at the question of freedom needing boundaries in order to share true love. We hope to bring you along on a journey that shows how freedom and love can come together in everyday life.

This is supposed to be the season of romance and affection with tons of heart shaped items and roses exchanged to signify, I Love You. But this episode is taking a different approach to discuss a very special gift, the gift of self. Through out the hour we will be sharing answers and reflections centered around St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body. Adele, Becki and content partner, Colby Allen, will introduce us to JP II's thoughts on the concept of Gift of Self and how it can be the best gift ever shared with those you love. Our team will share why the call to love doesn't begin with romance but with God. It begins in the way he created us and it begins as it did with Adam before before Eve, in solitude. A solitude that reveals our identity as well as our purpose.

This is part 1 of our 4 part series during February that will focus on deeply truthful discussions of Love and how to look at it through the lens of Theology of the Body. In this first episode we want to take you somewhere unexpected. Before we talk about romance, relationships or even the call to Love another person we are going to pause and look at something foundational, Solitude. This will be a look at the more mysterious solitude that Pope St. John Paul describes as the one that existed before the first human relationship. JP II describes the time before Adam met Eve and before Eve met Adam as Original Solitude. This solitude is the solitude that allowed Adam and Eve to better understand themselves, to truly know God and to eventually know each other in communion and relationship. So settle in for a conversation about the importance of the quiet before LOVE.

This theme comes from the very heart of the Catholic Faith and it also plays a vital role in the mission statements of many Crisis Pregnancy centers across America. Adele and Tom have invited 2 guests from The Women's Center of Lafayette. This crisis pregnancy center is part of the DesOrmeaux Foundation that sees about 200 women per month. In this time we spend together we hope to share how the Gospel of Life presented through Theology of the Body helps a Pro Life consultant at the Women's Center of Lafayette show love and compassion to her clients and a Mother who receives this message delivers love to her family.
