What’s the best thing about winter in Minnesota? For some people, those commonly referred to as "snowbirds," the answer is…leaving it to go live somewhere else.

Podcast host Bob Edholm launches the second episode of his “Hangin’ Out with Bob” podcast series with Tom Madigan, his snowbird buddy who lives half of the year in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, and the other half in Arizona, the land of two million saguaro cacti.

Bob and Tom have known each other since the mid-1970s, when Gerald Ford was President and Minnesota Vikings still played their football games – outdoors – at Metropolitan Stadium. Tom grew up in Waseca, Minnesota. He is a retired civil engineer and currently an adjunct professor with the University of New Mexico, teaching an online engineering project management class. He loves to play golf, both in Minnesota and in Arizona.
