This episode reveals our true identities and begins to unpack how the application of this knowledge changes us and the way we perceive our world. This is the knowledge that is extolled in the ancient Vedas as the knowledge that leads to "causeless happiness" - bliss, the acme of joy. I touch on why it is that this knowledge is not obviously perceivable by us and I set the stage for understanding how it is that we can finally come to experience a truer and grander version of ourselves, as suggested by the spiritual giants of humanity.

Much of the information provided on the five sheaths have been extracted from a discourse of Sri Sathya Sai Baba's given on the occasion of Sivarathri on the 16th February 1988. It can be found in the book: Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Volume 21(1998) or it can be accessed on the free Sai Speaks app (available on Google Play and on Apple App Store) which makes many of Sai Baba's works easily and freely available. Search "Ascent To The Divine" in the Sai Speaks app to find the discourse that has been referred to here.
Part 1 describes three of the five sheaths that make up the human structure as per ancient Hindu philosophy and touches on what levers of control we have to optimise these sheaths.
