“Behind every great daughter is a truly amazing dad.”

This is not just a quote but a fact! In a world where daughters are still caged with old stereotypical beliefs, my father turned out to be my biggest supporter.

So today's episode is dedicated to my dad and actually to every dad who gave wings to his daughter to fly high. 

Today's episode is special for two reasons - 

1. It's my dad's birthday 

2. Our podcast has completed over 600 plays.

On my dad's birthday, I have written a special poem for him. 

My father is one of the reasons why I have been so confident about my decisions. Because I knew I had his support. I knew I could fall because he would be there to pick me up and give me the strength to try again. I knew I could take a leap of faith because he would be there to catch me. And that's why I have never been afraid!

Fathers are indeed special. Behind their strict personality lies a soft-hearted man who can melt over his child's smile. But it's 2020 and I would like to take this opportunity to say this to all the dads listening that it's fine to express your love, it's fine to openly show your care, it's fine to talk about your fears and insecurities, it's fine to say those magic words of encouragement to your children, it's fine to share a laughter and memorable fun moments, it's fine to shed off your strict dad image and become an understanding friend of your children. This won't spoil your child but a little compassion can make your bond stronger.
