Episode 8: Our Business Love Languages: How We Give, Receive & Ask for Support
We talk about love languages in relationships, but what about the way we give and receive support in business?
In this episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, Jazzy, Steph, Kaelyn, and Tara are talking about our business love languages: the things that make us feel genuinely supported by other entrepreneurs and the ways we naturally show up for the people in our corner.
Maybe you’re the person sending referrals and opportunities whenever someone comes to mind. Maybe you’re the hype woman celebrating every win. Maybe you show up with solutions, offer to take something off someone’s plate, or simply make space for someone to vent when business feels like a lot.
But giving support can sometimes be a whole lot easier than actually asking for it. We’re getting into whether we’re good at communicating what we need, the different ways we each want to be supported, and why the support someone needs isn’t always the support we naturally want to give.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 What our individual “business love languages” look like
🥂 How we naturally show support to other entrepreneurs
🥂 The types of support that make us feel the most appreciated and understood
🥂 Whether we want advice, encouragement, honesty, solutions, or simply someone to listen
🥂 Why asking for help or telling people what we need can sometimes be harder than giving it
🥂 How learning the way your friends, collaborators, and business partners receive support can strengthen those relationships
At the end of the day, support looks different for everyone.
The real value is having people around you who actually learn what support looks like for you, whether that’s encouragement, honesty, a referral, a reality check, or just someone who understands what you’re carrying. And that’s such a big part of what collaboration and community are really supposed to feel like.

Episode 7: Happy Hour Confessions: What We’re Overthinking, Avoiding & Excited About
What happens when we stop talking strategy for a minute and admit what’s actually going on behind the scenes?
In this episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, Jazzy, Steph, Kaelyn, and Tara are basically turning the podcast into our group chat and sharing what’s currently taking up space in our brains, both in business and in life.
We’re talking about the things we know we’re probably overthinking, the tasks and decisions we’ve been conveniently avoiding, what we’re genuinely excited about right now, and the things we might need the girls to either hype us up about or lovingly call us out on.
Because no matter how long you’ve been in business, there’s always something you’re making more complicated than it needs to be, something sitting on the to-do list way too long, and hopefully, something that makes you really fucking excited about what you’re building next.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 What we’re currently overthinking in business and life
🥂 The things we’ve been avoiding or procrastinating on
🥂 What’s taking up way more mental space than it probably deserves
🥂 The projects, opportunities, and life updates we’re genuinely excited about
🥂 What we need our friends to hype us up about, or call us out on
🥂 Why sometimes you just need to say the thing out loud to people who get it
We all have shit we’re excited about, avoiding, figuring out, and unnecessarily making complicated, even when we’ve been doing this for years.
Sometimes you don’t need another strategy or a perfect answer. You just need people you trust enough to say it out loud, help you get out of your own head, and remind you what actually matters.

Episode 6: Client Red Flags, Boundaries & Knowing When It’s Time to Walk Away
Getting clients is one thing. Learning which clients you actually want to keep is an entirely different lesson.
In this episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, Jazzy, Steph, Kaelyn, and Tara are talking about one of the harder lessons that comes with entrepreneurship: not every paying client is a good client.
Especially in the beginning, it can be tempting to overlook red flags, tolerate scope creep, stay available at all hours, or hold onto a client simply because you’re afraid to lose the income. But as we’ve grown our businesses, we’ve learned that the wrong client can cost you a lot more than the money they’re paying you.
Sometimes a relationship just needs a clearer boundary. Other times, the most professional thing you can do for yourself and the client is recognize that it’s no longer the right fit and walk away.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 The client red flags we’ve learned not to ignore
🥂 Boundaries around communication, availability, scope, and expectations
🥂 Why we’ve held onto misaligned clients longer than we should have
🥂 How to tell the difference between a boundary issue and a relationship that simply isn’t working
🥂 Why money isn’t the only factor to consider when deciding whether a client is “worth it”
🥂 How to professionally and peacefully end a client relationship
As your business grows, your standards are allowed to grow with it.
A client can be a great person and still not be the right client for your business anymore. And sometimes walking away from misaligned work is exactly what creates the space for better opportunities, better clients, and a business that actually feels good to run.

Episode 5: Things We Used to Judge Other Entrepreneurs For... Until We Became Them
It's funny how entrepreneurship has a way of completely changing your perspective.
The things we once said we'd never do... we eventually found ourselves doing. The business decisions we questioned suddenly made sense. And the opinions we had from the outside shifted once we experienced what it's actually like behind the scenes.
In this episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, we're sharing the business beliefs we've changed our minds about, the lessons that humbled us, and the moments that made us realize there's no one "right" way to build a successful business.
Because the longer you're an entrepreneur, the more you realize that every business owner is making decisions based on circumstances you can't always see.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 The business decisions we once judged but now completely understand
🥂 Why our perspectives on pricing, outsourcing, hiring, and investing have evolved
🥂 The entrepreneurship "rules" we no longer follow
🥂 The moments that made us realize we didn't know the full story
🥂 Why giving yourself—and other entrepreneurs—a little more grace goes a long way
Entrepreneurship has a funny way of humbling all of us.
The things you once questioned often become the exact lessons that help you grow, and sometimes the entrepreneur you thought you'd never become is exactly who you needed to be.

What happens when life gets hard... but your business doesn’t stop?
Clients still need things. Deadlines still exist. Bills still need to be paid. People still expect you to show up. But behind the scenes, you might be navigating heartbreak, family struggles, health challenges, burnout, grief, anxiety, or simply a season where life feels really freaking heavy.
In this episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, Jazzy, Steph, Kaelyn, and Tara get real about the personal struggles we’ve navigated while simultaneously trying to run businesses, and the pressure entrepreneurs often put on themselves to keep showing up like everything is fine.
Because entrepreneurship doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Life happens right alongside it.
We’re talking about the seasons when we weren’t at 100%, what actually helped us keep going, and why sometimes the thing you need most isn’t another business strategy - it’s people in your corner who understand what you’re carrying.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 Navigating personal struggles while still running a business
🥂 The pressure to stay productive and “keep it together” when life feels anything but
🥂 How we’ve learned to balance showing up with giving ourselves permission to slow down
🥂 The mindset shifts, habits, and support systems that have helped us through difficult seasons
🥂 Why entrepreneurship can feel so isolating when you’re struggling behind the scenes
🥂 How friendship, community, and having other women entrepreneurs in our corner has changed the way we navigate the hard stuff
One of the biggest misconceptions about successful entrepreneurs is that they somehow stop having hard seasons.
We don’t.
Life gets messy. Business gets messy. Sometimes they get messy at the exact same time.
You don’t have to have everything perfectly together to keep moving forward, and you definitely don’t have to carry all of it alone.

Episode 3: What We'd Tell the Version of Ourselves From 2 Years Ago
If you could sit down with the version of yourself from two years ago over a happy hour... what would you tell her?
In this episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, we're reflecting on how much can change in just a couple of years, not only in business, but in our confidence, mindset, relationships, and the way we approach entrepreneurship.
Looking back, there are so many things we wish we could tell ourselves. Some lessons came through big wins, while others came from mistakes, setbacks, and seasons that challenged us in ways we never expected.
This conversation is a reminder that growth isn't always linear, and sometimes the things you're stressing about today won't even matter a year from now.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 Where we were in our businesses and lives just two years ago
🥂 The things we worried about that turned out not to matter
🥂 The advice we'd give our younger entrepreneur selves
🥂 The lessons we had to learn the hard way
🥂 The moments that completely changed our perspective
🥂 How community, friendship, and collaboration have shaped our growth
Whether you're just getting started or you're in the middle of building something big, we hope this episode reminds you to trust yourself, keep going, and give yourself permission to grow.
Sometimes the version of you that's two years ahead already has all the answers—you just have to keep moving long enough to meet her.

In this episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, we're talking about the realities of building a business with people you genuinely care about. From friendship and support to accountability and difficult conversations, we're sharing what we've learned about balancing personal relationships while growing something together.
Because while collaboration can be incredibly powerful, it also requires communication, trust, boundaries, and a willingness to have honest conversations when things aren't working.
We're diving into what it looks like to support each other through life, celebrate wins together, navigate challenges, and still maintain a strong business foundation behind the scenes.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 How personal we believe business partnerships should be
🥂 The difference between friendship and business responsibilities
🥂 Why boundaries actually strengthen relationships
🥂 The importance of open communication and accountability
🥂 Navigating difficult conversations as founders
🥂 Contracts, expectations, money conversations, and protecting the business
🥂 How we've built trust while still challenging each other to show up
If you've ever wondered whether friendship and business can successfully coexist, this conversation is for you.
Because great partnerships aren't built by avoiding hard conversations - they're built by having them.

Episode 1: The Society 22 Origin Story: How We Met and Why We Started This Community
What happens when four women entrepreneurs stop trying to do business alone?
In the very first episode of Happy Hour with Society 22, founders Jazzy, Steph, Kaelyn, and Tara share the story behind how we met, how their friendships evolved, and why we decided to create Society 22.
Like many entrepreneurs, we spent years believing we had to figure everything out ourselves. We were taught that success meant working harder, competing harder, and keeping our cards close to our chest.
But something unexpected happened when we started supporting each other instead.
What began as conversations, collaborations, referrals, and late-night voice notes turned into genuine friendships, business growth, and eventually the idea for Society 22.
In this episode, we discuss:
🥂 How we all met
🥂 The moments that brought us closer together
🥂 Why we created Society 22 and the vision behind the community
🥂 What you can expect from Happy Hour with Society 22
If you've ever felt like entrepreneurship can be lonely, overwhelming, or isolating, this conversation is for you.
Because we believe there's room for all of us to win.

Happy Hour with Society 22 is where real conversations about business, life, and growth happen with no gatekeeping, no competition, and no pretending it’s all figured out and picture…
Hosted by the founders of Society 22, Steph, Jazzy, Kaelyn, & Tara, this podcast is a mix of honest, unfiltered conversations about what it actually looks like to build a business as a woman entrepreneur. We talk about the wins, the struggles, the mindset shifts, and the decisions behind growing something real.
At the core of everything we talk about is one belief: collaboration over competition.
We’ve all built businesses on our own, but everything changed when we started building with each other and saw how much faster, easier, and more fun growth became.
We also get into the side of entrepreneurship that people don’t talk about enough - how your thoughts, perception, and environment shape everything. Thinking bigger, backing yourself, and creating a business and life that actually feels aligned (even if it feels “too big” at first).
If you’re building and want authentic and genuine convos, better perspectives, and a more connected way of doing business, you’re in the right place.
