We celebrate July 4th in the USA with words and symbols that express philosophical values of democracy and equality. Yet we are aware of explicit and implicit bias, a transparent disparity and inequity, that creates harm in our selves, our community, the world. In the face of suffering, how do we remember, and embody, our interdependence, in order to respond wisely and kindly?
