Today is 19th November, International Men’s day. I decided to dedicate one episode to appreciate the men around us. We are going to talk about the reason for celebrating Men’s day and to celebrate the spirit of good men, I have written a special poem for them.

When we talk about equality, we shouldn’t forget the importance of the support women needs from men. If the men in each women’s lives decide to stand for equality then the world would be an equal happy world. Else, women have to continue to constantly fight to get their basic rights. There are so many women who are still fighting but there are also women who got immense support around them especially from men. Be it fathers, brothers, friends, boyfriends, husbands, and even sons, there are men who have been the pillars and provided every possible support to their daughters, sisters, friends, girlfriends, wives, and mothers.

Though a woman still has to fight her own battles With the support of important men around her, her journey becomes easier and smoother.

So International Men’s Day is celebrated on November 19 Every year. It is a celebration of Manhood. It promotes positive expressions of masculinity highlighting men’s contribution to society. Moreover, with evolving times, it has also become a day where men who don’t fall under the stereotypical categories of being a man, are also celebrated.

And to thank the good men who are there giving all their contribution to make this world a better place, I have written a poem. So, here it goes-

Society demands men to be strong and why not, we all must be strong, gender doesn’t have to play a role in it. But what’s goes wrong with society is that it expects men to conceal their emotions. But now is the time that we realize that expressing your vulnerable side is also a sign of strength. In fact, it takes a lot more courage to do that. It’s high time that we stop categorizing emotions and choices of life on the basis of gender.
