Dear Listeners,
I cannot say thank you enough. You have taken our little history podcast to an entirely new an unexpected level. We grew over leaps and bounds this year in our second year on the air. We have had nearly 14,000 downloads and have had them from 79 countries. There is no way for us to express our gratitude and say thank you enough. We hope you have gotten something out of each and every episode.
We have already put together several episodes for next year. Including a great collection of "DVD Extras - Special Features" type shows for January. They will mostly be material from our podcasts that we could not use or that we got our hands on to late to incorporate into our broadcasts. But we thought you would enjoy listening to them too.
We have also included previews for coming attractions for 2023. We will be looking back at the Presidency and life of Gerald Ford, the controversial career of our former 6th District of South Carolina Congressman John Jenrette, the only man to serve in Congress that was a native of Horry County until Russell Fry was elected this past November, and then we will begin a multiple season look at the Leadership of George H. W. Bush and his Presidency that saw the Gulf War, the fall of Communism around the world, and marked the end of the World War 2 generation of leaders on the world stage.
I think we have an exciting new year planned and we will also take a few minutes to honor three figures we lost this past year, Representative Don Young of Alaska, Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah, and from across the pond Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2.
We hope you enjoy the show and plan to join us in 2023 as we chronicle the leadership of what Tom Brokaw of NBC News labeled "The Greatest Generation" and again thank you so much for tuning in.
Sincerely,
Randal Wallace
