Happy smiling African children: why school tourism in Zimbabwe shouldn’t be encouraged

We are joined now from Australia by Dr Kathleen Smithers from the Charles Sturt University. She has penned an article criticising the tourists visiting schools in Zimbabwe. She finds that this is very disruptive and also because these tourists upload the pictures they take with learners without their permission. She goes on to say that the pictures also paint a very negative image of the African continent. She joins us now via zoom to share her thought
