Thanksgiving holds deep spiritual significaance, emphasizing gratitude, community, and the recognition of divine blessings in our lives. Thanksgiving is fundamentally about expressing gratitude. In many spiritual traditions, including christianity, giving thanks is seen as an essential practice that acknowledges the blessings and gifts received from a higher power. Most of the believers are encouraged to give thanks always and for everything to God. This act of gratitude posters a deeper connection with the divine and cultivates a spirit of humility and appreciation for life's gifts.

Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated on various dates in October and November in the United States, Canada, Saint Lucia, Liberia, and unofficially in countries like Germany. It is also observed in the Australian territory of Norfolk Island. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessings of the harvest and of the preceeding year. Various similarly named harvest festival holidays occur throughout the world during autumn. Although Thanksgiving has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, it has long been celebrated as a secular holiday as well.
