Christmas celebrates the greatest announcement in human history: the birth of Jesus Christ. The angel’s declaration to the shepherds reveals that Jesus brings good news of great joy because He is both our Savior and our King. As our Savior, Jesus rescues us from sin and its consequences, offering eternal life to all who believe. As our King, He fulfills God’s promise to send an anointed ruler who governs with love rather than domination. This good news brings deep joy through salvation, reconciliation with God, and the inclusive nature of the gospel message. We respond to this gift through worship, community, and sharing the message with others.
