Welcome to The Safe Space! As we continue to read the Gospels, Jesus has been rejected in his home town (Matthew 13:53-58; Mark 6:1-6) and sends his disciples out to preach the Good News to only Israel. (Luke 9:1-6, Mark 6:7-13, and Matthew 9:35-11:1) Jesus instructed them to bring no money, no clothes, no food, and not even a walking stick to bring along on their journey through the villages. He even gave advice for their journey that would last a lifetime.

Verse of the Day: Mark 6:31

Then Jesus said," Let's go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest a while." He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn't even have time to eat.
