Today marks five years since losing Allexanne. The weeks leading up to this day have been undeniably challenging as I allowed myself to sit with grief, thinking I was simply "riding the wave."
To be completely honest, I'm tired of riding the wave because it's been tumbling me instead. I started to contemplate if there was another way to approach this... one that doesn't ignore grief, doesn't let it destroy me, but rather harnesses it.
I used to think I was using my pain as fuel, but I realized it wasn't quite in the way I needed. Listen to discover how a minor shift in perspective has profoundly changed my life for the better. I no longer fear the waves coming; instead, I'm excited to transform them.
