As we speak of Harnessing Hope, what this means for us as God’s people, is that we have the ability to gain control, to use the power of hope (strength/ability) given to us by the promises of God’s Word.
Our primary passage of scripture for today’s podcast of Harnessing Hope is centered in the AMP version of Hebrews 6:19 where the Bible declares, “This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells].”
Hope is absolutely essential for human beings to have a meaningful life, enjoying life and not simply enduring life. This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul that cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressures of life arise.
As you and I harness this hope, there is nothing that we cannot do. Nothing that we cannot overcome, because like love, hope never fails.
